**Description of role**:
The Commercial Lead - Genomics Services is responsible for building and driving the commercial strategy for the Genomics services team, owning the largest customer relationships, and driving sales both alone and in conjunction with the EMEA sales team.

**Overall responsibility**:
The Commercial Lead - Genomics services is responsible for overall management of Yourgene Health’s UK genomics services sales: developing and driving sales and delivering on strategic initiatives. This position requires a very high degree of cross-functional leadership and organizational skills, creativity and critical thinking, and proven written and verbal communication skills.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- Responsible for building and driving the commercial strategy for the Yourgene Health UK Genomics Services business
- Managing relationships with key strategic partners, interacting with Scientists, Lab Managers,

PI’s, and Procurement.
- Partner with Core Services lab team, finance, and logistics to define well-researched proposals for potential customers
- Drive tenders, should one be necessary
- Collaborating with the EMEA marketing team to build visibility of Yourgene Health services
- Collaborating with the EMEA Product sales team to identify new strategic partners across the region
- The delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets
- Drive partnership opportunities through active customer management
- Liaise with marketing functions in order to engage and enlist partners to execute lead generation programs, pipeline stimulus programs and joint planning efforts
- Provide key input on market requirements to support development of future Yourgene Health services
- Attend and contribute to relevant scientific meetings to maintain awareness of new molecular biological techniques, competitor landscape and new product opportunities
- Contribute to the maintenance of a customer relationship management (CRM) database
- Comply with all Health, Safety, UK Bribery Act systems
- Comply with all Quality Systems.

**Consults with**:

- Senior sales leadership, regional sales team, Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Support, Supply Chain.

**About you**:

- A degree/PhD in Life Sciences ideally with genetics or molecular biology focus.
- 5+ years of sales experience with preference for experience selling services using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) based technologies.
