Our Client in Balham is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide technical support to the team and undertake more complex maintenance tasks and projects.

**Key Responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician**
- Conduct repairs and maintenance to a high standard in a proactive attitude
- Maintenance work includes painting, decorating, carpentry, and some electrical assistance
- Operate regular inspections and ensuring the sustainment and maintenance of all areas of the main buildings
- Maintain a record of all everyday time maintenance and service activities undertaken
- Fulfil with all corporate policies involving Health and Safety whilst carrying out maintenance functions
- Ensure that all emergencies are handled with swiftly and successfully, together with being a key holder for the site
- Support and expanding of the security of the premises
- Oversee and or undertake porterage of furniture and equipment as required
- Manage the heating plant and other management systems
- Provide support for use of the premises out of school hours

**Key Requirements**
- Qualification within the building trades desirable but not essential
- Basic PC skills
- Initiative led and with a can-do attitude
- Flexibility in terms of work undertaken and hours worked
- Presentable and punctual
- A valid driving licence essential
- An appreciation of the health and safety aspects of building maintenance
