Construction Estimator

We are a local family construction company based in Tyne & Wear with over 40 years’ experience. We are seeking an established Estimator to join our team on a permanent basis. Typically working on construction projects up to approx. £500,000. We do both residential and commercial work from maintenance, refurbs, and new builds. We have all our own in-house trades.

You will be involved in managing all aspects of tenders received, pricing, preparation, and return.

Duties to include:

- View building plans, specifications and have the ability to measure and quantify take offs and to tender multiple projects simultaneously. Producing BOQ's/cost plan estimates.
- Attending regular tender review meetings to create effective budgets and reports.
- Liaise with clients/Suppliers in the compiling of Tenders/Quotes/Variations.
- Timely and accurate costing of submission.
- Ensure completed quotes comply with specification and design briefs.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Software (particular with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Work closely with team members to ensure quotas and deadlines are achieved.
- Client relationship building.

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience of working as an Estimator for a main contractor, has excellent numeration and written skills as well as excellent communication skills.
