**Job Title: Dispensing Optician**

Optical People is a High Street Independent Opticians with a mission to provide exceptional eye care combined with an amazing selection of frames. We pride ourselves on high levels of customer service in a fun, warm, inviting, and professional retail environment. We currently offer a 30 minute glasses service for single vision lenses, and bespoke frame style consultations to all of our patients. The store is located on Castle Street, Hinckley.

**Role Description**

As a Dispensing Optician at Optical People, you’ll be responsible for helping our customers choose the right eyewear, ensuring that they fit the customer, and ensuring that they meet the customers’ visual requirements and preferences. You’ll advise on the lens options, coatings, and frames to suit different lifestyle and budgets. Your expertise and dedication will play a critical role in helping us to achieve our mission by providing tailored and effective eyecare and eyewear solutions, to help customers maximise their visual potential and enhance their lifestyle.
- A degree or diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Dispensing with registration on the General Optical Council
- Great communication and rapport building to translate professional terminology into language understandable to patients
- Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements to provide them with the best service and product recommendations
- Teamwork with colleagues across the whole store team
- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment
- Confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm
- Stay informed about the latest products, trends, and technological advancements in the industry to ensure that you can provide our customers with the best recommendations.

**Anything else you should know?**

You will have a high level of clinical and business freedom if desired. Being an Independent with two High Street stores within four miles of each other, you will work closely with the Nuneaton store to improve and implement new products and services. If you have a preference in lenses and frames the business dispenses, we will be more than happy to implement your ideas. Through spaciousness, we have created a beautiful and calm environment for both customers and staff, improving day-to-day wellness. There is currently free private parking to the rear of the store.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
