**The Role**

We have a brand-new role for a BI or Data Analyst with skills in SQL and PowerBI which is offered on a remote basis and gives you the opportunity to own their data from scratch.

This is well suited to a BI Analyst who is looking for a new challenge. The role will involve a great deal of autonomy as you will effectively lead the function as this is the first BI Analyst the company will have hired. You will have a lot of say in thedirection the company takes within BI as well as the freedom to really own their BI Solutions and Reports.

For this role we are looking for someone with an advanced ability to manipulate data using SQL. They have a lot of data that they have not really done anything with up until this point therefore there is a huge opportunity for some quick wins and long termprojects to effectively get a BI function up and running. You will be effectively setting up their reporting from scratch.

The company have now stored their data in SQL Server Databases and therefore "its is ready" for someone to come in and shape their analytics. You will need to work with a variety of stakeholders to get requirements on their dashboards before doing the technicalwork to deliver on these and we are looking for someone with really good stakeholder skills for this position.

We are looking for a real "Data Story Teller", you need to be able to present you findings to stakeholders who are going to be looking for some real insights into their customer base. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about settingthis up. You will get huge buy from the business.

**The Company**

The company have ambitious growth plans and are looking the data they have collected to aid with generating new customers, looking at average customer worth and spend as well as customer churn.

They have around 2.2million users of their products and at this point have not really done anything in the way of Data Analysis or Insight provision on those customers. They have a huge amount of data

The company have offices in Yorkshire but the role is remote so there is no need to travel to the office. They do have team meet ups once and month, but this isn't always at the office, sometime this would be in other locations such as Manchester.

The company have a very supportive and collaborative culture, you will have full support from senior stakeholders as well as autonomy to deliver the solution.

**Your responsibilities in this role will be**:

- Develop a thorough understanding of business objectives and issues, interpret business needs into data and analytical requirements.
- Design and develop reports, models and dashboards using Power BI to support customer analysis, sales reporting, and product analysis for clients across all our stakeholders
- Promote business intelligence as a driver for effective, informed data-driven decision making
- Deliver compelling presentations to key stakeholders, showcasing actionable insights and recommendations
- Compile management information for financial forecasting and budgeting
- Identify opportunities where revenue could be increased by using advanced analytics
- Develop and provide customer insights on key accounts and customer journeys to enable strategic conversations to drive growth and revenue
- Ensure an extremely high level of accuracy and quality of all management reports
- Increasing automation and scheduling for the reporting suite

**Requirements**:

- SQL - need to be able to extract, query and analyse data.
- Report writing / Dashboarding - PowerBI
- Need to have strong stakeholder skills.
