**Your new role**
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data engineering projects on both on-premise and cloud-based data stacks, and for mentoring and supporting other Data Engineers within the team. You will be expected to work collaborativelywith others, including stakeholders from different functions, as well as with technical colleagues in key teams such as Integrated Technology Services (ITS). You will also be responsible for staying up to date with the latest data engineering approaches andsuggesting how they can be implemented to achieve business benefits. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a new cloud-based data platform, while also supporting existing SQL Servers that feed data into analytics products.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have significant experience in database management, data architecture, or data platform management, including experience with a cloud-based data stack. You'll need strong skills in Python and SQL programming, as well as experience with the Microsoftdata stack. Knowledge of data pipeline design and management, database administration, data modelling and transformation approaches, and data security is also important. Experience with the full software/reporting lifecycle and knowledge of the Microsoft BIstack is desirable. You will also need to be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and technical colleagues, and staying up to date on the latest data engineering approaches.
**What you'll get in return**
You will receive a base salary of £38,000 - 44,000 as well as a yearly bonus based upon company performance. You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
