Our client a division of a multi-national business based in Wigan are seeking an IT Technician to provide first line support and excellent customer service to end users, you will initially be based on site to enable you to familiarise yourself with the roleand build relationships with colleagues, this will then lead to a more hybrid type opportunity working two or three days in the office.

**As an IT Support Technician your duties will be**:

- Respond to and deal with technical queries.
- Provision of excellent customer service to your colleagues.
- Assist with Installation and Configuration of Computer systems.
- Trouble shoot computer problems.
- Answer and record helpdesk calls.
- Ensure all parent company guidelines are adhered to.
- Provide support to both staff working on site and remotely.
- Offer support for various software used by the business including but not limited to - Office Applications, Windows Client Operating Systems, Concur, SharePoint, CRM, Circuit, Pulse Secure.
- Provide support in relation to Mobile Phones.
- Assist with IT Purchasing.
- Involvement with project work when required.
- Work to agreed targets and timescales.
- Adhere to the parent company’s principles - Be responsible at all times, empower others, Work collaboratively.
- Visit other sites as and when required.

**The successful IT Support Technician will have the following skills**:

- A strong background in IT support ideally within a similar role.
- Broad knowledge of IT Topics through either Education (Level 4 apprenticeship/Equivalent) or Experience.
- Previous experience of mentoring apprentices or supervising other team members would be advantageous but not essential.
- Working within a manufacturing/distribution type environment previously would be beneficial.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM - Support and Administration.
- Support /Configure SharePoint.
- Office Applications - Support and Troubleshooting problems.
- Use of Helpdesk for recording calls.
- Windows 10/11 support and troubleshooting problems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a bigger team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
