The post holder will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders to ensure that we meet the national faster diagnostic standard (FDS) target, contacting patients to confirm their attendance to appointments, liaising with clinicians to review patient pathways and working closely with the Straight To Test (STT) admin team to ensure all appointments are scheduled. They will also co-ordinate patient pathways according to Trust policies and NHS waiting time targets, whilst always having patient care at the forefront of everything. You will oversee the administration of our patients’ journey from the point of referral until they have received treatment, doing everything necessary to ensure their treatment is delivered as smoothly as possible.

- To train the failsafe teams to ensure appropriate knowledge, bookings and clinic management.
- To provide the best possible customer service to external and internal customers.
- To liaise with GP’s, patients and all clerical and clinical staff on any day-to-day queries regarding outpatients.
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators for the outpatients department.
- To ensure knowledge of all long waiter patients and their pathways.
- Responsible for all annual leave and sickness days for the Failsafe team.
- To attend daily huddles, chair meetings and provide staff one-to-ones as required.
