We are recruiting for a leading transportation company based in Minworth, Birmingham, dedicated to providing reliable logistics solutions to our clients. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Clerk to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services through effective driver debriefing and proof of delivery processing.

Job Description: As a Transport Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage the debriefing process and accurately process proof of delivery documentation. You will be the main point of contact for our drivers, ensuring that their routes, deliveries, and collections are accurately recorded. This role will require exceptional organizational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail to maintain precise records and assist in resolving any delivery-related issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive debriefing sessions with drivers at the end of their shifts, documenting key information such as mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle condition, and delivery performance.
- Collect and process proof of delivery documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify delivery notes, invoices, and related paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the operations team to address any delivery discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including hours worked, delivery times, and any incidents or delays.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to update relevant databases, spreadsheets, and systems accurately.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, and customers to ensure the efficient flow of information and resolve any queries or concerns.
- Assist in other administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with transportation software and systems is a plus.
