This is a 12-month secondment opportunity to provide a comprehensive secretarial/administration service and be an integral member of the ward team. To assist the clinical leader, clinical team members and ward based staff with all aspects of ward/patient related administrative tasks.

To ensure that all patient related activity i.e. admission, discharge, section status and demographic information is recorded accurately on the electronic patient record information system (PARIS).
- Maintain an accurate record of all patients on the ward on PARIS and ensure that documents for admission, discharge, leave and transfer of patients are completed.
- To provide a range of secretarial duties for the clinical lead and ward team, including keeping diaries, organising meetings, filing, photocopying and typing correspondence within PARIS.
- Responsible for requisitioning/collecting/recording and distribution of monies for ward/patient related activities.
- Arrange patient appointments and transport and liaise with team about discharge appointments following the 7 day follow-up procedure.
- As directed by the clinical leader the post holder will assist with the ordering of office/ward equipment including stationery, furniture and fittings. Clinical provisions and cleaning supplies for the ward.
- Receive and deal with telephone enquiries as appropriate.
- Distribute mail and deal with as appropriate.
