**Company name**: TDW Distribution. TDW Distribution are a family owned distribution haulier based in Bridgend, South Wales. We have a fleet of over 80 vehicles operating throughout the UK and Northern Europe, specialising in the distribution of fast moving consumer goods, and palletised freight.
**Job title**: Palletline Administrator.
**Responsible to**: Pallet Network Manager.
**Location**: Bridgend depot.
**Hours**: 9-hour shifts mornings / afternoons.
**Salary**: £24,000 to £26,500 dependant on experience.
**Job Purpose and Requirements**
To assist the Pallet Network Manager in the management and co-ordination of the day to day operational movements of the Palletline fleet.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- To support in the planning of the fleet of rigid vehicles with a mixture of multi drop and dedicated deliveries, building jobs and preparing trucks for despatch
- To support in the planning of all available freight in the most profitable and efficient way possible, ensuring all specific customer requirements are met
- To provide an administrative function to the Pallet Network Manager
- To support the team of rigid HGV drivers, delivering first class customer service and meeting customer expectations
- To deal with and resolve customer queries
- To maintain cost effectiveness and legal compliance
- To deal with customer and driver queries
- To be methodical and organised
- To proactively prevent accidents and reduce hazards by ensuring that Company Policies and Health & Safety Standards are followed at all times whilst planning
- To identify improved working practice and support the Pallet Network Manager in developing the service provided by TDW Distribution.
- Specific work instructions will be provided by the Pallet Network Manager.
- To support other roles within the Palletline Network.
**Person Specification**
**Qualifications/education/training**
No specific qualifications are necessary, however GCSE in English and Maths desirable.
Ability to use the Microsoft suite of computer programmes.
**Experience**
Logistics experience a distinct advantage.
**Knowledge**
Must demonstrate a desire to work in a very busy environment and a general understanding of, the haulage industry.
A good local geographical knowledge desirable.
**Skills & competencies**
Attention to detail.
Methodical.
The ability to multi-task within this fast paced environment.
The ability to react promptly and with confidence to ad hoc requests and sudden changes.
To communicate well at all levels including good face-to-face and telephone communication skills.
To work well within a team.
The ability to handle data, and produce orders, labels and delivery notes.
