**Maintenance Fabricator/Mechanical Steam Fitter**

**Belfast**

**Job Purpose**:
Assist and Support the Maintenance manager and Maintenance Supervisor in Organising and Managing the site maintenance function, Mechanical, to provide high plant availability and performance within approved budgets, liaising with operations staff to delivera high level of service. Assist with the Management of the maintenance department, implementing the planned preventative maintenance, overhauls and planned shutdown works within strict budgets and in line with company policy and procedures

**Key Responsibilities for the role**:

- Assist with the management of CMMS, implementing planned preventative maintenance requirements. Ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation including maintaining and compliance with statutory inspections. Assist with the Management and coordinationof equipment maintenance - planned, breakdowns and overhauls within strict budgets
- Manage and control maintenance sub-contractors in line with company policy and procedure.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Group maintenance strategic practices.
- Monitor and report on budget performance. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues would be an advantage
- Minimum 4 years' experience as mechanical fitter / welder in a steam plant environment.
- Steam plant experience
- Capable of preparing technical improvement proposals. Other essential role requirements
- Experience with working and maintaining high pressure steam & water systems.
- Experience with working and maintaining rotational equipment; Driers, centrifuge, chain and screw conveying systems.
- Experience with working and maintaining compressed air and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with working and maintaining chemical and water transfer pumps.
- Experience gained through working in a continuous process environment.
- Able to operate, or train to operate a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant.
- A high level of Fault finding and analysis of failures are required.
- Ability to work in a multi-project environment.
- Ability to forge and maintain good interpersonal working relationships.
- Strong communicator across all levels.
- Presentation skills across all levels including technical report writing.
- Requires mínimal supervision and being able to cope with numerous issues simultaneously.
- Capable of prioritising tasks accordingly
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
- Competent problem solver with a practical approach to solving engineering problems.
- Knowledge of current H&S, CDM, and Pressure systems regulations.
- Manual handling is necessary, working in confined spaces and working at heights. Behavioural / Leadership
- Self-motivated, able to prioritise tasks and work with mínimal supervision.
- An effective team member, able to communicate well orally and in writing
- Flexible, with a creative approach to problem-solving
