**Pay Rate**: £16.85 per hour (assignment rate)

**Contract**:Locum, 3-Months

**Hours**: Full-time, 30 hours per week. The hours are split into 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon.

**Main Duties of the Support Assistant**:

- Provide specialised home to school Transport to children and young people
- To ensure that children and young people with SEN needs have the same opportunities to education as their peers.
- Ensuring all passengers embark and disembark safely
- Assisting driver in operation of any safety/adaptive equipment whilst ensuring all passengers who use safety and adaptive equipment are seated and secured in appropriate seats in accordance with manufactures instructions
- Informing the relevant parties of any changes to route and child absences
- Ensuring daily registers and all relevant paperwork are on board completed and handed to driver at the end of the working day

**Requirements of the SEN Passenger - Support Assistant**:

- 1+ year of experience within a similar role.
- Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 5 years references.
