Learner Facilitator

-About the role

You will be reporting to a Qualified Teacher in the Hub who will provide support and guidance in order to provide the best for our students with individual needs. You will also have the support of Learning Support Assistants.

This role will involve a hands on approach to daily tasks with students, including some personal care. Also due to the nature an ability to build relationships with carers/parents and other multidisciplinary teams. A friendly and proactive approach to this role is key to success.

To be successful in this role you do require your HLTA qualification or equivalent to meet the person specification which includes the below brief points:

- Ability to plan lessons.
- Experience of working with students in complex needs and profound disabilities.
- Commitment to work with students between 16 & 25.
- Experience of working with whole class groups.

**Qualifications and training**:

- Studying or commitment to successfully complete a HLTA or other relevant Level 3 qualification such as NVQ 3 or equivalent in Education/Early Years.

**Skills and expertise**:

- Physical ability to carry out moving and handling of students and manual handling.
- Willingness to carry out personal care of students.
- Willingness to carry out first aid and support and medical needs of students with training.
- Excellent oral skills to communicate with students and professionals.
