**Please note**: Whilst initially this is a temporary role, there is the potential for the role to become permanent in the future, as some clients we work with are looking for employed staff. If you want to remain working for us as a temporaryworker, that is absolutely fine. In this position you may be needed to work at weekends and work shifts in unsociable hours, although you can elect to work certain hours to fit around existing commitments. **The Role**:
As the Health Care Support Worker you will be primarily responsible for supporting / caring for a wide range of people (adults or children). The service users could have learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, mental health issues, acquired brain injuriesor they could be older people with dementia, or in need of care.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Supporting service users in their setting
- Helping them live as normal a life as possible
- Working with fellow carers/support workers
- Keeping the service users safe and free from harm or danger
- Reporting any incidents
- Helping to administer medication
- Updating patient records
- Providing excellent levels of person-centred care
The ideal person for this Health Care Support Worker role will have a relevant background in the care sector. We ask for at least of 6 months experience.
You'll also need a background in looking after people with varying needs of care and support.
The ideal person for the role will be the following:

- Experienced in supporting adults or children in need of care or support
- Caring and compassionate
- Able to travel to different locations in easy to reach areas that are close to where you live

**The Package**:

- Basic salary: _£9 - £10 per hour (although you will also have the opportunity to join our emergency groups where rates could be higher, depending on how urgent the need is)
- Overtime: _You'll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role

**The Process**:
After we have looked at your CV we will arrange an initial phone call to discuss your needs in more detail and we will then conduct an interview (usually over zoom) to run through things in more detail. We will then start the registration process which includesreference checks, DBS checks and enrolling on various online care courses. When you have completed all of this, you will be eligible to work with us and you can start to pick up as much work as you would like.
