Lloyd Recruitment Services are currently in search of a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team for a reputable business in Sevenoaks. You will be integral to the smooth running and day to day support to all Businesses through a sharedservice.

**The role**

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will provide commercial support to the team, including the provision of reporting with system based transactional activities for the whole portfolio, whilst actively being involved in the day-to-day commercial administrationof lower value/lower risk contracts.

The Assistant Quality Surveyor will ensure that financial information relating projects are monitored and controlled within the delivery of projects, you will need to:

- Maintain and update the master contracts register for all new and existing projects
- Create an entry for all active jobs/contracts within Evolution, to enable costs to be allocated against labour, materials, equipment and other criteria, by the Finance Department
- Assist in the change control process in respect of commercial activity associated with projects, issue early warning and compensation event notices as required
- Assist Commercial Manager and Finance Manager in respect of Client invoicing
- Attend all Commercial meetings and any other meetings as required to fulfil role
- Assist in the preparation of estimates for works. Input cost and quantity information into estimating systems and produce reports
- Assist in preparation of tender, pricing and contract documentation
- Monitor and report on commercial aspects of projects, flagging issues at the earliest opportunity, and escalate matters to senior management
- Keep commercial records up to date in properly maintained files and subsequently archive (and adequately record) the documents, following commercial close out

**Hours of work -** Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (can be flexible) half hour lunch break

**Experience**
- Commercial Management Qualification - Quantity Surveying
- Good IT Skills
- Strong organisational and record keeping skills
- Good communication skills
- Educated to A Level or equivalent
- General experience in report writing and numerical data manipulation
- General experience in delivering oral presentations
- MS Office i.e., at least intermediate Excel and Word skills

**Desirables**
- Experience of using Evolution software
- Driving Licence
- Have obtained or progressing relevant Higher Education level qualification
- Experience of working within a commercial environment
- Knowledge of basic estimating, valuation and cost reporting, financial modelling
- Negotiation skills
