**JOB DESCRIPTION TEXTILE RECYCLER / SUPPORT WORKER**

**Location: Rhyl Denbighshire**

**Title: Textile Recycler / Support Worker**

**Reports To: Manager**

**Hours: Up to 35 hours per week Monday to Friday**

**Holidays: Initially 20 days paid plus paid public holidays**

**Salary: £9.50 per hour**

**The role and purpose of the job**
- You will be responsible for supporting adults with Learning Disabilities within our sorting centre and retail outlets to participate in the workforce and develop new skills.
- We collect têxtiles across the county from approximately 25,000 houses and clothing banks.
- The têxtiles are deposited at our sorting centre, where they are graded and sorted either for sale in our shop or for onward recycling via a têxtile merchant you will be a part of that process.
- You will also be required to work in our clothes shop that sells the items we have recycled.

**Main Activities**
- Working within a team to maintain our supply chain and keep our shop fully stocked.
- Ensure people’s active participation in recycling activities on a day-to-day basis whilst maintaining their safety and well-being in a busy environment. Duties are carried out in accordance with our Health and Safety Policy across all working environments.
- Assist, when necessary, in transport arrangements including driving and escort duties
- Assist, when necessary, at mealtimes
- Attend team meetings and meetings concerning individuals supported.
- Liaise with family/carers/agencies when necessary.
- Covering colleagues work during illness or leave periods.
- Attend training as directed by Manager.
- Keep accurate paperwork in relation to all matters.
- Other relevant duties as directed.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rhyl: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver CPC (preferred)
