We deliver a wide range of positive health opportunities to individuals in custody, which is equal to and often above what is offered in the community.

As part of the Offender Health Directorate, Nottinghamshire Healthcare trust deliver healthcare services across 8 different prison establishments.

We provide a Primary Care Service 24/7, a Mental Health and Substance Misuse service over 7 days a week.

It’s the variety of this role which will provide a stimulating experience like no other. You will be able to work autonomously whilst always having the support of a strong team when required.

To assist in activities of daily living, supporting patients to meet their physical and mental health care needs - promoting health and well being.

To undertake, record and report clinical observations as directed by the registered clinician.

To maintain accurate, timely and relevant clinical records, to maintain the safety of healthcare records.

To support and assist the all clinicians to provide appropriate healthcare provision across the Physical Health, Mental Health and Substance Misuse Care Pathways.

- Assist the nursing team with the screening of all new prisoners.
- Complete routine observations for patients with healthcare needs - including, weight, Blood pressure monitoring, ECG's, temperature checks and taking samples for testing.
- To support with the administration of medications in the role of 2nd checker.
- To fully support patient with social care needs / sensory loss with activities of daily living, ensuring that they are well cared for within the prison environment.
- Support and chaperone visiting allied professionals and other professionals as required.
- support with the checking, stocking, cleaning of all clinical areas.
