Join our clients IT Operations Team in the oil and gas industry as a Help Desk Specialist Be at the forefront of providing exceptional support to our Group IT customers, both on the phone and in person. Your role is to answer, resolve and escalate callsin a timely manner, ensuring that all company standards are met. In this dynamic role, you will provide day-to-day operational support and be on-call when needed for hardware, software, and network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle all help desk calls within the Group's Service Level Agreement
- Provide hardware and software support and liaison with 3rd party vendors
- Escalate complex problems to other IT teams
- Participate in Group IT projects
- Assist other IT staff in their duties as directed
- Ensure local servers are backed up and perform scheduled maintenance
- Offer out-of-hours call-out support as part of a rotation
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Support the supervisor with additional tasks
- Manage operational PCs and mobile communications.

Qualifications:

- Relevant degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience with Windows operating systems, Office products, desktop hardware, and basic networking
- A+ certification or equivalent knowledge to troubleshoot computer hardware issues.
