We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Neurosurgery MDT/Inpatient pathway team leader to provide leadership to the administration and clerical staff.

The main purpose of the post is to undertake a range of duties involving MDT support and collection and input of data relating to Neurosurgery services carried out within University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB). The post holder will be responsible for the validation and submission of mandatory data to national Neurosurgery registries on every patient who undergoes neurosurgery within UHB. Prompt reporting of surgical data is now a core requirement by Commissioners.

In addition the post-holder will coordinate the weekly Neurosurgery Multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), ensuring lists of patients to be discussed and other relevant information are prepared and distributed in advance of the meeting, and that all patients have a management plan clearly recorded from the meeting. All of the surgical specific data will be collated in a timely fashion, ensuring the department meets all reporting and outcome deadlines.
