**Role Title**: Finance Analyst

**Location**: Edinburgh

**Contract**: 6 months (full time)

**Target Start Date**: 6th February

**Pay Rate**: Competitive

**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Conduct financial month-end and year-end processes; preparing and inputting journals; organising accruals and prepayments; assisting with audit queries. (30%)
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of accounts; resolving and clearing exceptions and errors; proposing remedies to processes where relevant; supporting regular financial data cleansing and financial control. (30%)
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts; perform research facility costings and rates calculations; information and workload planning modelling; respond to regular ad hoc requests for financial analysis and variance reviews. (30%)
- Support non-finance staff to understand finance policy and procedure; liaise with stakeholders to produce financial information; supervise and develop team members where relevant. (10%)

**What we are looking for**
- HNC/HND or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline plus relevant experience

Or
- Broad and considerable experience acquired through on the job training.

And
- Comprehensive knowledge of finance policies and procedures. Knowledge of regulations and standards.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
