A position has become available at Little Disciples Childcare for a Nursery plus assistant and playworker, based on the premises of St John the Baptist VA Primary School, Penymynydd.

**Breakfast Club: 7.45 until 8.45am - 5 hours per week (Term-Time)**

**Nursery Plus: 11.20am until 3pm - 18.35 hours per week (Term-Time)**

**Holiday Club: 8am until 5.30pm - 17.5 per week (Non-Term-Time)**

**Total hours**

**23.35 hours per week (Term-Time)**

**17.5 hours per week (Holidays) (Except Christmas)**

We are looking for someone who not only complements, but also works well within our existing team of playworkers. We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative and who is prepared to work outside in our outdoor learning area and forest school. The sky is the limit, and you will have the chance to be as creative as you like, as you grow and develop your skills within our setting.

We are looking to appoint a practitioner who can provide high quality childcare and play support to our children.
- hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare and be willing to work towards a Level 3 Playwork (Transitional)
- have experience ideally gained within a busy and demanding environment.
- have a keen desire in children’s development.
- an ability to work using their own initiative.
- an alignment to a can-do culture.
- the capability to maintain effective relationships.
- a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
- the talent to adapt to changing situations and learn new skills.
- a keen eye for ensuring the safety of our children.
- have a good working relationship with the managers enabling us to provide a high-quality service.
- to complete annual mandatory training including professional development opportunities.
