Working in our marketing team, the Social Media Executive will be primarily based in our York office, helping to create and publish content across multiple channels.

**Description**

**The successful Social Media Executive will be responsible for**:

- Working with the marketing team to develop our content and copy across a range of digital channels.
- Conducting keyword research, guide brand tone and personality for clients, keeping ahead of digital trends to identify opportunities for engagement and growth within brand audiences.
- Managing and updating the WordPress website, recommending developments where necessary.
- Developing and delivering our social media strategy for each channel, particularly LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Managing social media presence to increase reach and engagement.
- Creating internal culture and skills to maximise employee advocacy.
- Reviewing competitor activity and benchmarking our performance, including identifying new trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Carrying out social listening to inform activities on brand perception and market intelligence, quickly identifying negative noise or crises

**Profile**

**The successful Social Media Executive will be able to demonstrate**:

- Notable experience within a content creation or social media marketing role, either in-house or agency.
- Proven experience in using WordPress.
- Proven experience in using social media platforms to represent a business.
- Confident, creative writing skills with exceptional grammar.
- The ability to organise and manage your own workload.
- First class attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems and an understanding of the principles of SEO when it comes to online content.
- An interest in sustainability is beneficial.
