This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Early Years with a keen interest in Childcare. This is an apprenticeship role with great progression opportunities where you will train on the job to become a skilled Practitioner whilst gaining valuable experience in the Childcare sector.

**Key duties**:

- To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery.
- To provide support to all colleagues.
- To work as a teamwork to provide an enabling environment for all children and colleagues.

**Responsibilities**:

- To contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members.
- Engage in good team working.
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members
- To attend occasional out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events etc.
- Work alongside the Nursery Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate by the Manager.
- Recording accidents using the relevant forms. Ensure the Nursery or Deputy Manager has initialled the report before the parent receives it needs of all children.
- To respect the confidentiality of all information received.

**Essential Skills**:

- Good understanding of children’s needs and some understanding of child development.
- Good customer service and partnership skills to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and children
- Ability to observe, comment and write clearly.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: £7.69-£8.00 per hour
