**Fixed term (12 months)
The Biological Research Data Management team (BioRDM) is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Data Assistant to help us advance Open Research and to make bioscience and biomedical research data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).

**The Opportunity**:
The post-holder will assess how the FAIR principles for data management are being adopted within the School of Biological Sciences, the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine and collaborating research groups, assist research groups to curate and publish research datasets using the institutional data repository and other online tools, as well as to provide necessary training and support to researchers to adopt FAIR principles for their data.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Bioscience or biomedical degree.
- Detailed understanding of current research methods in laboratory bioscience or in mental health research, as broadly as possible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer and Internet literacy
- Knowledge of good practices in research data management
