We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Investment Finance team as **Finance Business Partner - Joint Ventures**. With offices in Basingstoke, Bristol and Christchurch, we can be flexible on your base location. You'll share your time between the office and home, as well as some travel being required between our offices.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Development Finance, the focus of this role is to deliver commercial finance decision support and performance management for Development Joint Ventures and major projects. You will provide timely, accurate and comprehensive internal financial information, commercial financial advice, scheme appraisals and financial analysis to managers and senior executive teams in relation to Development Joint Venture activity.

Responsibilities include:

- Leading on providing financial and commercial advice, support and modelling for Joint Venture projects, focusing on deal structure, tax implications, key risks and mitigations, and return measures such as residual land value, profit margins, peak debt, ROCE, IRR and NPV
- Running sensitivity and scenario analysis on projects and assessing the viability of potential projects, to understand risks and optimise performance
- Working with the wider development finance team to assess the suitability and viability of development and Joint Venture partners
- Building and owning any Joint Venture related financial models
- Driving financial performance and managing risk by business partnering with the Development and Joint Venture teams and delivering insightful forward-looking MI
- Partnering with any external parties to review and challenge financial performance of any Regeneration JV and partnerships.
- Leading scrutiny of financial information for Joint Venture projects, making sure Directors fully understand project performance and are well placed to make informed decisions
- Working with the wider Finance function to deliver Group Business Planning, Budgeting, cashflow forecasting and wider reporting requirements in relation to Joint Venture projects to ensure management accounts, statutory accounts and programme reporting are timely, accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards

**What we're looking for**

You'll have proven experience in a similar role with a strong track record of providing financial and commercial expertise successfully for Development and Joint Venture activity. You'll have experience working with Joint Venture partners, with experience gained within property development, real estate or Social Housing. You'll also have:

- Significant investment appraisal expertise gained within the property / real estate or Housing sector
- Experience leading financial support for large-scale Joint Venture and Development projects
- Excellent track record for business partnering, performance reporting, financial planning and stakeholder management
- The ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally with strong networking skill
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Knowledge of PowerBI and real estate appraisal software such as Proval, Sequel & Landval is desirable

Ideally, you'll be a Fully Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), or hold an equivalent postgraduate accounting qualification.
