Curtain Maker

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced curtain maker to join our friendly blind & curtain manufacturing team in Norwich.

**Skills required**:

- Experience in making machined and hand sewn curtains, lined and interlined in a range of heading styles.
- Experience making roman blinds to an exceptional standard
- Use of all workroom equipment, including flatbed sewing machines, blind hemmer, over-locker and eyelet machine
- Accurate sewing at speed whilst maintaining quality is essential
- Experience in quality control and have a good knowledge of how a workroom works

**Key Requirements**:

- Experience in the soft furnishings industry making curtains & roman blinds is essential
- Have a flair for soft furnishings with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work
- Be able to accurately measure and cut fabrics to pattern match
- Be able to machine & hand sew accurately and check standard of all finished work
- Have good communication skills
- Work as part of a production team to meet daily order output requirements
- Able to work alone within the workroom at times and be able to use own initiative
- Be able to work at a fast pace, under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads
- Be able to keep the workroom tidy at all times and adhere to health and safety regulations

**Job Type / Hours**:

- Days TBC
- 3 Days per Week - leading to 5
- 24 hrs per Week
