Bank Support Worker Days

Join our bank team working at Acorn House which support people with learning disabilities. Shifts are communicated three months in advance / on the day where you will be able, if it suits you, to pick these additional shifts that our full time team cannot. There is no obligation to pick up shifts, just when it suits you. Shift times can vary between 8-8 or 8-2,2 - 8 or any hours that can provide coverage depending on the day and home.

**About us**
You will be helping younger adults with complex needs and behaviours which may challenge to live varied and fulfilled lives and to be part of the local community.
If you are a caring, motivated person, able to work as part of a team and have the ability to empathise with our clients and see the world through their eyes then we would like you to apply.
Sleep ins may also be available and are paid at £70 per night minimum.
There are care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans in place to help you in your role. An ability to problem solve and think outside the box is always welcomed.
You will be paid Monthly into your bank.
Paid training is provided and support is available at all times.
Pay rates are dependant on which home you are based in and the degree of challenging behaviour you may encounter. The pay rates start at £10.34 weekdays and £11.43 at weekends - there is a £1 an hour supplement for those that work in our most challenging home and additional overtime payments. Masks are to be worn in line with our COVID Policy
Experience in Working in a care home or supporting people with Autism, Learning Disabilities or Mental Health Difficulties is desirable, but not essential.
