38.33 hours per week (Monday - Friday 08:00 am - 16:30 pm)

Lichfield & District Crematorium are looking for a professional and compassionate individual to join our collaborative and dedicated team as a **Chapel Attendant/ Administrator**. **What Will I Be Doing as An Chapel Attendant / Administrator?**

As a Chapel Attendant / Administrator, you will be carrying out a wide range of administrative support to our busy funeral operations, clients, and suppliers. You are going to be the coordinator that supports our families, arranges the funerals and works alongside our teams to ensure that the funerals are delivered at the highest standard.

Other duties will include:

- Take responsibility for the preparation of the chapel prior to each service including cleaning, polishing and sanitisation
- Take responsibility for the preparation of music and webcasting for friends and family who cannot attend in person.
- Ensure the safe custody of ashes in the care of the crematorium Suggest refinements and improvements in client service to the Manager
- Liaise with Funeral Directors and Ministers, ensuring any specific requests from the family are inputted in the database regarding services that are carried out
- Preparation of banking, client invoices and supporting credit control with branches - Maintaining accurate, indexed records of funeral arrangements
- Input & maintain records on computers to comply with industry regulations
- General ad-hoc administration to ensure compliance for cremation and burial.

**What Do I Need?**
- Previous experience in a Customer Service or Administrative position.
- Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
- Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
- Excellent attention to detail is** (Essential)**

**Advantageous**:

- Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
