Asb Officer

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a ASB Officer to join a community
- centred housing provider based in Essex. This is a temporary contract with the potential for extension.

As ASB Officer, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating a high-quality intervention, case management and liaison service between the organisation, it's communities, and partnering organisations to help monitor and develop the communities so that any issues are identified and managed, and that customers are able to live in positive places.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for providing an effective ASB service, combating, resolving, and reducing ASB. Taking a lead on preventative measures to reduce the risk of ASB
- Providing an expert resource to the tenancy management services, assisting in the provision of a comprehensive and responsive housing management service
- Champion and promote community empowerment
- Explore issues or needs of tenants and communities, establishing potential causes and barriers, as well as related issues to enable the provision of appropriate and effective housing and community services
- Act as point of escalation for more complex housing and community issues, such as tenancy breaches, so tenancies and properties are managed and maintained
- Liaising with social services, police forces and in-house legal teams to investigate cases further

**Requirements**:

- Up-to-date knowledge of housing issues and processes, including those driven by regulation, such as tenancy rights, housing management, ASB, property lettings and management.
- Experience in partnership engagement with clear measurable outcomes
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable customers and providing advice/guidance to them
- Knowledge of Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, and other relevant acts
- Possess a full clean driving licence, and have access to a car for work purposes
