A pioneering tech company with world-leading haptic and tracking technology is looking for an Unreal Software Engineer to join their Bristol team. The business is backed by huge investment with 185+ employees globally; the last year has only accelerated theirproduct roadmap and they’re in an optimal position to be growing the team further. Their technology is used in a variety of fields including VR/AR, spatial computing, immersive 3D experience, automotive, entertainment, medical/healthcare and more. They'reconsidering applicants at mid-senior level and require someone in the office twice a week due to physical product interaction.
**What experience you’ll need**:

- Proven expertise with recent versions of Unreal.
- Skilled in Blueprints and C++.
- Familiarity with, or interest in AR/VR development.
- Proficient in software engineering principles and theory.
- Interest in building developer tooling, keen problem solver.
- Understanding of continuous integration/improvement (CI).
- Experience in user-facing environments.
- Comfortable with Agile working practices.

**What you’ll be doing
**Focused on their multi-functional hand-tracking ecosystem, you’ll act as the technical leader for development on the Unreal Engine, though they have other skilled people in the team to work alongside. You’d be focused on the development of their open-sourcedeveloper tooling as well as their wider hand-tracking technology. This involves designing, testing and delivering software to contribute to the toolkit that brings hand-tracking to AR/VR/MR developers, making this a very technical role that requires someonewho is logically driven and enjoys the theoretical side of software engineering.
