**Commercial Analyst**

**Based: Horwich - Hybrid**

**Salary: highly dependent on experience + Competitive benefits**

A leading retail business based in Horwich are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their growing team focusing on financial finance performance.

You will assist with developing the commercial P&L, driving forward performance through insightful investigation, analysis and the implementation of accurate forecast models.

You will build collaborative relationships with your colleagues within your team, Finance Teams and the wider Commercial team, to positively impact performance and strategy.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Perform in-depth analysis and make recommendations on things such as; sales and margin performance, manufacturer performance, promotional activity, customer proposition and pricing, consumer finance opportunity, website development
- Collaborate with our Trading, Supply Chain, Finance and Acquisition departments and be the expert on all things commercial
- Produce weekly sales and margin reporting, translating your findings into something that's easy to understand for all audiences
- Deliver monthly forecasting of sales, margin and selling price for the category that you look after
- Support other business teams through analysis and sharing of best practices

**Person Specification**
- Highly numerate/analytical mind-set.
- demonstrable experience of working within a commercial or accounting function pulling together financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ambitious and self-motivated.
- Excellent organisation & attention to detail.
