Working within a small team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely transaction processing whilst developing processes and controls to support finance functions.
This is a hands on role with responsibility for processes end to end that will suit those who can work flexibly around the needs of a growing business, have strong planning and organisational skills, enjoy new challenges and display initiative in their approach.

Main Purpose of Job:
To record and organise our financial transactions in a proper, efficient & systematic way, helping to support to Finance Manager on other functions

Main Objectives:

- To maintain financial systems and procedures efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner to ensure the company’s financial security and viability is always protected
- To update and maintain accounting software and files so that accurate financial information required to inform decision making is available at any given time
- To cover such work as is carried out by other members of staff in the Finance Department as is necessary in their absence and within the capability of the job holder to ensure that the department continues to operate smoothly and successfully

Key Tasks:

- Bank reconciliation
- Purchase & Sales Ledger
- Payroll assistance
- General administrative and finance related tasks

Person specification:

- Problem solver with a solution focus attitude
- Open to taking on new challenges, ability to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Key Skills
- Previous experience in finance function (ideally 2 years)
- Experience using accounting systems with ability to learn in-house software
- Good computer literacy (MS Office / Excel )
- AAT level 3 or equivalent or qualified by experience
