Buyer

Creesons are a family run Plumbing an Heating installation company, mainly working on new build developments for national house builders.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer within the plumbing construction industry to join our team. You will undertake and manage the full cycle of procurement for the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Source and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, availability, and reliability
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers/vendors to ensure the best value for the business and our clients
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information
- Setting up call off’s at the start of each job, ensuring correct pricing is entered, and adjusting with price increases.
- Liaise with Contracts Manager on a weekly basis, to pre plan the following week for pre orders.
- Daily ordering, sending out quotes to various merchants, raising PO’s and placing orders within the dedicated deadlines.
- Ensure stock is kept up to date at all times, and utilized accordingly.
- Invoice matching and raising invoice queries when required, in a timely manner.
- Hold regular meetings with merchants to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Source new suppliers ensuring the best price, quality and customer service are provided.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a similar role and industry
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Relationship Building
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience and knowledge of plumbing and heating materials within construction
- Able to read drawings and interrupt information as required

Ability to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and documentation
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
