Assistant Greenkeeper

**Burton on Trent Golf Club Limited** is looking for an **Assistant Greenkeeper** to join our team at Burton on Trent Golf Club.

**Position Summary**:
The Greenkeeper is responsible for the maintenance of all grounds, trees, shrubs, and hedges within the assigned site. The Greenkeeper will be expected to maintain a clean and attractive appearance of the designated site, and perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure a trouble-free work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Greenkeeping with a positive attitude
- Previous landscape and or tree care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to walk for an extended period of time in a hot environment (BPA-free)

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, clean, and water all grounds, trees, shrubs, and hedges within the assigned site (80%)
- Assist with the collection of routine maintenance reports on a daily basis (80%)
- Assist with the maintenance of all irrigation systems (I-Com) (I-Com is required to provide training on I-Com use)
- Assist with the installation and removal of all landscape equipment (i.e., sod laying, tree surgery, treeless plantings) as needed for maintenance purposes (I-Com provided)
- Maintain proper documentation for all I-Com functions (I-Com provided)
- Maintain a clean working environment including trash receptacles and yard waste bins (80%)
- Maintain a safe working environment by not allowing any hazards to be present on the job; ensuring that work area is free from tripping hazards; ensuring that safety equipment is being utilized; ensuring that proper procedures are being followed; ensuring that all required equipment is being utilized; following company safety rules and procedures as set forth in Safety Rules & Rules of Industry Association guidelines (safety awareness).

**Salary**: £21,673.00-£23,816.00 per year
