Due to recent expansion, we are looking for an experienced bookkeeper for our portfolio of clients.

The successful applicant will have strengths in the following areas:

- General bookkeeping - including the preparation of accounts to trial balance. Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Technical skills in Excel
- A good working experience with the Xero accounting package.
- Maintaining the sales ledger.
- Maintaining the purchase ledger.
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining ledger accounts, verifying and posting transactions.
- Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and KPIs.
- Managing and filing relevant documentation.
- Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Review AP Ledger, aged and debit balances on a monthly basis.
- Manage monthly credit card statements.
- Monthly payroll (input, pension upload, managing holidays sheet, calculation and payment of PAYE/NIC).
- Reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Other Ad hoc tasks and projects to support the finance team.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - often managing multiple priorities.
- 1/2 days per week initially

Work can be done from home, but some meetings will be required to be had in the office in Maldon, so ability to travel to this location imperative.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
