**JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Post**: Finance Assistant

**Department**: Business Services

**Reporting to**: Finance and Performance Manager

**Job Purpose**:
Support the Finance and Performance Manager by recording and retrieving financial details for the company, including customer receipts from tills and electronic devices.
Assist in the processing of sales and purchase invoices, chasing overdue debtors, and provide a professional and efficient service to the finance team

**Responsibilities**:
1. Check daily takings report from centres to ensure they agree to LMS report and adjust errors
2. Process daily till receipts from LMS system and import to finance system
3. Challenge and resolve any variances between till reports and bankings
4. Liaise and chase centre staff to ensure they meet strict weekly deadlines for completion and delivery of daily income data
5. Check daily customer credit card payments agree with receipts from credit card company on website
6. Check income from web payments agree with website
7. Ensure customers are paying within credit limits
8. Assist with monthly reconciliations

9. Assist in processing supplier invoices
10. Logical and accurate processing

**EXPERIENCE**

Good knowledge of VAT A/ I Experience in VAT with partial A/I exemption status.

Experience in processing high A/ I Experience in an environment with A/I volume of transactions multiple costs centres
Good IT Skills including accounting A/I/ T Experience in Technology One A/I and Microsoft packages accounting software
