Health Care Support Worker - Podiatry

This is an opportunity to flexibly contribute your experience as part of a proactive podiatry team providing
- support for people with foot conditions in the rural area of Dumfries & Galloway. You will have the opportunity
- to work in a variety of settings, including community and acute, therefore is essential to be able to travel and
- work between multiple locations.
- A comprehensive training induction will be provided. Thereafter you will have an assigned caseload working in
- the areas of nail surgery, wound care, preventive care, early interventions and management of diseases
- affecting the lower limb and foot. This will include patients with a wide range of clinical need. You will hold a
- delegated caseload of patients, follow care plans, use protocols and work closely with supervision from a HCPC registered podiatrist.
- Can you bring:
- An interest in health prevention, mobility, foot care and people
- Appropriate training/ experience in health or social care
- Curiosity and willingness to be part of a dynamic team

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES**:
**_NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for _**_NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland _**_from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week._**
