Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client in Cheshire to appoint an Accounts Assistant. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations such as sales and purchase ledgers and basic bookkeeping. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for processing all sales and purchase transactions on the newly implemented JD Edwards system. This role would suit a Purchase Ledger Clerk, Sales Ledger Clerk, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant with an eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines and with accuracy. The Accounts Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

- Raising and processing all sales orders on the new JD Edwards system
- Processing sales invoices and sales returns on JD Edwards
- Processing purchase orders and expense forms on JD Edwards
- Stock reconciliations
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Working closely with individuals across the business at all levels, particularly finance colleagues and sales/marketing

**To be successful in this role the Accounts Assistant will have the following experience**:

- Experience in a similar role with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience of JD Edwards would be beneficial
- Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
- Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Hold or be studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification

The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
