The Opportunity:
Nigel Wright are excited to be supporting a growing enterprise scale business as they look to recruit an Infrastructure Specialist.

The role will involve supporting the ICT Infrastructure Manager in overseeing the management, delivery, and implementation of server systems. This includes ensuring compliance with ICT policies, as well as meeting business requirements. The primary objective of this position is to uphold a high standard of safety, availability, and reliability for all ICT systems by efficiently and accurately performing various ICT tasks.

It's an exciting time to join them as they embark on an interesting project pipeline.

The Role:

- Implement, maintain, and provide support for on-premises and infrastructure systems.
- Oversee the monitoring and optimization of infrastructure platforms.
- Document and maintain configurations for the design, settings, routines, processes, and ICT tools.
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions based on business requirements while adhering to established best practices like ITIL frameworks.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of data through IT continuity plans, technology, and tools.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical professionals to resolve issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex incidents.
- Gain a deep understanding of the business and its objectives.
- Coordinate with various IT teams to communicate service outages to the business and affected users accurately.
- Collaborate with the project management team and other virtual teams as necessary.
- Develop and manage group policies.
- Collaborate with third-party partners and suppliers as required for delivering and maintaining infrastructure services and solutions.
- Continuously develop and update your knowledge and skills, staying current with new processes, procedures, and attending relevant training sessions.
- Willingly take ownership of any additional tasks and responsibilities until they are completed.

**Requirements**:

- Track record in an infrastructure support / engineering position
- Extensive expertise in Virtualization and VMWare technologies.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Experience in SAN/Storage provisioning and management.
- Familiarity with monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management tools.
- Competent in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Services, including Exchange and Teams.
- Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and business owners, both autonomously and as part of a team.
