**Janitor required**

**Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm - 40 hours per week with 30min Paid break**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To ensure high standards of cleaning are maintained (as per specification).
- To work in accordance with Company Health and Safety Procedures, adopting safe systems of work.
- To check equipment prior to use and to report defective equipment to a member of management or to the Regional Office as soon as possible.
- To report any hazardous or potentially hazardous situation to a member of management or to the Regional Office as a matter of urgency.
- To wear any Personal Protective Equipment issued, as required by Company policy, at all appropriate times.
- To comply with legitimate management requests and instructions.
- To take care of Company equipment and use it only for its intended purpose.
- To only operate equipment for which you have been fully trained or have been given full instructions.
- Work with a number of internal and external stakeholders including Landlord, Tennants and Landlord sub contracted providers to achieve high standards
- Promote and maintain the core values of ISS and the client.
- Use of compactor
- Band cardboard in preparation for recycling
- Use of pump truck to move pallets
- Stack pallets
- Use of ride on cleaning machine
- General housekeeping/cleaning tasks
- To carry out all talks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health & Safety and personal hygiene
- Cover colleagues when on annual leave/absent from work
- Any other reasonable request by line manager that are within the scope and spirit of the role.

**KEY SKILLS**:

- Previous janitorial experience preferred but not essential
- Customer focused
- Effective communicator
- Highly motivated and possessing a resilience to work under pressure, positive, personable and optimistic with a can-do attitude.
- Flexible in approachable to cope with the diverse needs of the post.

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
