Job Title: Zoo Crew

Summary:
Become a vital part of Belfast City Council's Parks Development team as a Zoo Crew member. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional front-of-house operations and customer service at the zoo, contributing to visitor satisfaction and the overall reputation of Belfast City Council.

**Your Duties**:

- Welcome visitors, provide information, conduct tours, and manage admissions at the zoo.
- Process membership schemes, issue membership cards, and maintain membership databases.
- Operate the souvenir shop, handling sales, restocking, and maintaining stock levels in compliance with Trading Standard regulations.
- Conduct regular stock checks and analyse sales trends to facilitate stock replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by cleaning public areas, emptying bins, and disposing of waste.
- Assist in organising promotional campaigns, events, and activities, and prepare display materials.
- Undertake general labouring duties such as seating maintenance and storage.
- Demonstrate the use of mobility scooters and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Provide administrative support to shift supervisors and other zoo staff.
- Manage cash floats, operate tills, reconcile cash, and perform end-of-day procedures.
- Address customer comments and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist with first aid, record incidents, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Uphold the reputation and public profile of Belfast City Council through exemplary conduct.
- Fulfil any other relevant duties as assigned.

**Your Profile**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum one year of relevant experience in dealing with customer enquiries and cash handling.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving organisational demands.
