An opportunity has arisen within Jo Malone London to appoint a Senior Store Designer. This is a Global role and reports to the Executive Director of Global Store Design. The role is location in our central London office.

**PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE**:
Designers will work on schematic space planning, interior design, pop-up design, fixture design and detailing. It is essential that Designers be able to produce renderings as part of the development and presentation processes. Designers will collaborate with regional design centers. The position will take direction from the Executive Director of Global Store Design and requires handling multiple projects and job responsibilities simultaneously under tight timelines. This is a great opportunity to become involved in a dynamic department as we evolve our Global in-store experience and brand architectural image.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Able to initiate project kick offs from brief with creative brainstorming sessions with the team
- Develops creative solutions for store fixture layouts and prepares architectural plan and elevation proposals for Freestanding Stores, Department Stores, Perfumery and Travel Retail ensuring cross department collaboration.
- Develops design renderings for projects and new concept development
- Leverages personal knowledge and research on current trends in global culture, retail design, architecture, fashion, art, furniture and materials. Build and maintain archive of visual inspiration and material samples.
- Acute awareness of changes in consumer behaviors and habits with emphasis on building a strong branded consumer experience in store.
- Creates presentation materials for new design concepts in the form of space flow diagrams, design sketches and renderings, image boards, and material sample collections.
- Prepares construction details for new fixture designs and works in developing and maintaining the standard fixture library.
- Maintains regular updates with regional design centers to ensure key milestone dates are being met for targeted opening dates.
- Communicates effectively with regional design centers identifying regional opportunities for more effective store design rollouts.
- Review and approve architectural plans, elevations and fixture shop drawings to ensure design details are accurate and in keeping with global brand standards for construction.
- Maintains departmental records of final architectural drawings and photographs for each store.
- Assist in the management of external agencies, building relationships and managing work flow through the department.
- Embraces and supports the implementation of our sustainability and accessibility strategy for all our retail doors

**Qualifications** QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BA in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design
- Excellent ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging
- Extremely detail oriented throughout
- Experience in working with global teams and strong in building relationships
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and closely with others
- Superior organizational skills; ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task and manage more junior members of the team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present new concepts and initiatives to key stakeholders
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
