Here's a great role for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to join a progressive IT Services Provider. This role, reporting out of the regional location of Preston will see you getting hands-on and delivering high class cabling work to some of the mostwell-known names within Retail.

**To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials**:

- Knowledge of cable pulling routes and containment types
- Ability to control project stock in line with project requirements
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form
- Ability to follow pre-prescribed company processes
- Provide submissions of paperwork on a regular basis
- A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role

The successful engineer should be comfortable in delivering against a project brief and be comfortable at dealing with challenges in their stride. This is a customer-focused role and as such, flexibility, motivation and enthusiasm should be natural as partof their approach to the role.

**Within this position, you'll also be**:

- Having direct client contact working in a variety of retail premises
- Installing high level technology systems
- Pulling cables
- Splicing and termination of Cat 5 and Cat 6, Cat6a and Fibre
- Testing infrastructure and diagnosing / replacing cable issues
- Dressing and presenting cabinets
- Completing WiFi Surveys

This role is aimed at either an enthusiastic engineer, ready to progress to the next level of becoming a Infrastructure Engineer, or you may be a skilled engineer who is ready to get stuck in.

This is a great opportunity to gain training and certification in the copper and fibre field, full training is provided however and the ability to work towards obtaining City and Guilds 3663 or CNIT is available and there is even the opportunity to becomeSecurity Cleared.

If you have the following, then that would be great
- PASMA
- ECS/CSCS/EUSR cards
- CNCI or equivalent
- IPAF 3A/3B

As part of this role, it is worth noting that many installations occur overnight and regularly involve unsociable hours and on occasion, weekends.

**Salary & Benefits**

£27,000 - £33,000pa depending on experience
