**Technical Architect**

**£85,000 - £95,000 per annum + benefits**

Software Architect is required by a market leading company based in Farnborough, Hampshire who are also offering hybrid working options. My client is looking for an experienced Software Architect to drive the technical direction of a greenfield project ofa legacy product to a cutting edge modern and scalable platform. The Software Architect will take ownership in spearheading the architecture and decision making throughout the team utilising best practice with a strong emphasis on security and data protectiongiven the industry you will be working in. The Software Architect will have a strong background in software development and work closely with the development manager, business analysts, produt owners and development team to rebuild the product architecturefor their SaaS product.

The successful Software Architect will have extensive experience working with security focussed products and will have familiarity with PHP and AWS products. You will be joining at an exciting period of growth where the business is going through legacy transformationand play a pivotal role in the greenfield projects taking place.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Awareness of latest data protection and security threats and ensure that security considerations are at the core of all design decisions, mitigating system and data integrity risks
- Design and build database schemas which allows scalability and optimal perfromce and security
- Maintain a development and infrastructure strategy, to decide whether we can inherit existing code and/or support legacy code bases in future developments.
- Create, update, and maintain product architecture and high-level design documentation for all products.
- Design and specify future-proof reusable core libraries setting architectural and best practice standards
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Collate and document software requirements with which to develop user stories, estimates and work plans.
- To proactively drive innovation with new ideas and options made available by new technologies.

**Key Skills**
- 3 years leading greenfield software design architecture projects
- SaaS product architecture experience is highly desirable
- Experience working on and designing secure and data sensitive platforms
- 3+ years working with AWS infrastructures
- Experience in incorporating large databases with integrity and scalability
- Excellent documentation and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of PHP, relevant framewroks and MySQL development environments
- A technologist at heart - keeps up with technology industry trends and developments.
- A champion of best practice, and innovation
