We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a CI Trainer in our Joint Scientific Investigation Unit (JSIU). Could you be who we are looking for?

**About the team/Department you will be joining**:
The Joint Scientific Support Unit (JSIU) has created an exciting new opportunity for a Forensic / CSI Trainer. The role will be based at the JSIU Police Headquarters Bridgend, however the successful applicant will be required to travel to, deliver and present training across all areas of the South Wales and Gwent Police. The role will deliver both internal and external training needs.

**About the role and your key responsibilities**:
This role will require you to identify and evaluate local and regional training and development needs, design solutions and lesson plans. To facilitate and deliver training, providing advice to individuals or groups within the Regional Joint Scientific Investigation Unit and both internal and external areas of business. To identify, address and support, organisational or individual training needs.

This post will attract Shift Allowance and Weekend Enhancements

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
**Skills**:

- Must be able to encourage individual learning through clear communication of learning points, use of appropriate facilitation style and effective use of learning aids during the learning session.
- Must be a competent Crime Scene Investigator.

**Experience**:

- Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
- Must be a qualified CSI and have an in-depth knowledge of the accreditation requirements under ISO 17020.
- Must have recognised qualification in Crime Scene Management
- Must have obtained Level 2 and Level 3 in a recognised Training certificate or equivalent or must be prepared to undertake and successfully complete this training.
