Getting Help Teams (GHT) and Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper 2017 for Young People's Mental Health.

The Teams will form part of the developing CAMHS Getting Help services across East Berkshire, working as part of the multi-agency early intervention support.

The supervising practitioner role will focus on providing day to day clinical and supervisory support for the Child Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) Band 4/5 including trainees. The role will be working alongside community partners and developing relationships between the local authority Early Help community partners, MHST colleagues and Educational settings. Assessing and Delivering Low Intensity CBT to CYPF is also part of the role.

The role will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the GHT (in line with the THRIVE Framework), providing high quality, safe and responsive specialist mental health services to children, young people, parents/carers and professionals provided in accordance with Children and Young People's IAPT principles, in partnership with service users and partner agencies, working as part of a multi-agency system.
