**The Opportunity**

We are looking for someone with security experience to join our nuclear energy business as a **Nuclear Security Training Officer**, working as part of the Policing and Operations Branch supporting the Nuclear Security function, based in Gloucester.

In your role, you will take up the responsibility of developing and delivering a training programme and leading on leadership competencies and technical work, alongside some specific skills around development, evaluations, and delivery. This is to predominately support our Generating fleet but working across our 3 licensees to enable EDF to help Britain achieve #CarbonNetZero.

We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £60,826 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience, and qualifications.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Demonstrating a broad knowledge of the Emergency Scheme and Security Response arrangements.
- Undertaking FCI (fleet certified instructor) duties.
- Designing training materials using the Strategic Approach to Training (SAT) including ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), in order to maintain security training for Sites and Central Security posts and roles to ensure skills and competence.
- Supporting the (MSI) Maintain Security Integrity process; this is the security equivalent of (MDI) Maintain Design Integrity and is used to ensure the security arrangements are fit for purpose.
- Liaising with other training teams where necessary on training matters including participating in peer groups and curriculum review committees as the Security Training SME.
- Acting as the SME for the operation of security equipment for sites to deploy and use, including producing model SWIs (security working instructions) and training materials for the safe operation of equipment.
- Gathering and producing OPEX and creating suitable learning briefs and incorporating OPEX into the relevant training for users to reference.

**Who you are**

You will have working experience of relevant regulations and policy including Nuclear Industry Security Regulations (NISR 2003). You will be able to prioritise your workload and have excellent communications skills.

It would be great if you also have
- Previous security experience and previous delivery of training experience.
- Experience of working in a regulated organisation.
