Weekend Cleaner

**Lancing College is seeking two Weekend Porter/Cleaners.**

Saturdays and Sundays 06.30 - to 10.30.

Competitive rate of pay £12.82 per hour including holiday pay.

**Duties will include**:
The department covers a diverse range of support functions, including all aspects of housekeeping and cleaning. The cleaner will work within a team to upkeep both internal and external areas of the College.
- Cleaning of designated areas that may change from time to time to include common rooms, corridors, stairs, toilets, kitchen, public areas and teaching rooms, conference and private function bookings.
- Preparing rooms as necessary for teaching, courses or meetings.
- Driving college vehicles around the campus.
- Moving furniture and equipment as required, which may involve moderate heavy lifting.
- Moving bagged general waste and recycling to collection point.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment.
- Ensuring areas are kept secure.
- Observing and complying with the college’s Health and Safety policy and Code of Practice.
- Observing COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals.
- Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

**Knowledge / Qualifications Required**
- Knowledge of Manual Handling regulations (desirable)
- Full driving licence (preferred but not essential )
- First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential)

**Skills / Experience Required**
- Must be able to undertake moderately heavy manual handling.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
