Accounts Payable Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a team in Bicester, Oxford.
**Job Function**:
The Account Payable Assistant is part of the Accounts team. The primary function of this position is to work daily with purchase invoices and systems, to resolve arising queries and to ensure all tasks assigned are completed within the required time frame.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Posting of high volume of purchase invoices onto the accounting systems
- Ensuring all purchase invoices are matched to a purchase order/ goods received note
- Maintaining a tidy purchase ledger
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Insuring all Direct Debits accounts are reconciled
- Other ad-hoc tasks where required
**Skill Requirements**:
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in a similar role
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Sage X3 and/ or Procure Wizard experience would be preferred, but not essential
- Attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy
- Working well under pressure and can deal with high volumes of work
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A hardworking and committed attitude, problem solver
- Positive, resilient individual with a can-do attitude
- Team player
- Prepared to learn and take on new duties
